Auditory – referring to the sense of hearing and the hearing organs involved.
Auditory threshold – the lowest intensity at which a sound may be heard.
Chimes – also called Tubular bells are musical instruments in the percussion family. Tubular bells are typically struck on the top edge of the tube with a rawhide - or plastic -headed hammer .
Cognition – the mental process of knowing, thinking, learning and judging.
Decibel – a unit of measure of the intensity of sound.
Polyester – category of polymers , or, more specifically condensation polymers , which contain the ester functional group in their main chain. It generally refers to the large family of synthetic polyesters ( plastics ) which includes polycarbonate and above all polyethylene terephthalate (PET). PET is one of the most important thermoplastic polyesters. It is used as fibers (and microfibers ) for fabric, bottles , films such as Mylar , often aluminized , photographic film (after cellulose triacetate , polyester is the most important substrate ), common matrix for glass-reinforced plastic ("fiberglass"), liquid crystal displays , holograms and filters.
